Felicity Jones and Shailene Woodley will be working in tandem as the two actresses will star and produce the upcoming film The Last Letter From Your Lover alongside Callum Turner, Nabhaaan Rizwan, Joe Alwyn and Ncuti Gatwa according to Deadline.
Three production companies will be in charge of putting out the film as Blueprint Pictures, The Film Farm, and Studiocanal are all working on the film which will begin shooting next Monday in Mallorca before shifting locations to the U.K. The three companies tabbed Augustine Frizzell of Euphoria to direct the film.
The film features a combo narrative love story set between the Riviera and London and is based on a best-selling novel written by Jojo Moyes. Moyes’ novel has generated three million copies globally and has been translated over to 33 different languages.
The plot follows Jones’ character Ellie, a young journalist in modern London who unveils a archival love letters which narrate the story of a romantic affair in the 1960s involving Jennifer Stirling and Anthony O’Hare. Ellie fixates in on the story and becomes obsessed with finding out how the love story concludes.
Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin of Blueprint Pictures will join the production team consisting of Simone Urdl and Jennifer Weiss of The Film Farm. Jones and Woodley will serve as executive producers on the project.
