According to the studio reports were limited to the nature of the injury as a representative asserted that they “have halted production for the day to focus on this situation.”
No further details were made available.
Hertfordshire Police in a statement announced, “Police were called shortly before noon today following an incident at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire.”
A representative for the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed with MailOnline: “An ambulance, three ambulance officer vehicles and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were called to Leavesden Studios shortly before midday today, following reports of a man injured in a fall. One patient with a serious head injury was transported to the Royal London Hospital by air ambulance.”
The news of the incident comes off the heels of a nasty fire that broke out earlier in July in the historic Leavesden studio lot outside of London. The blazes lasted approximately 15 hours and after extinguished caused damage to the set of HBO series Avenue 5.
