Paul Walter Hauser, who is set to appear in the upcoming Fantastic Four: First Steps, has shed light on his experience filming the movie. The character he is playing is still a mystery, but he dropped some hints as to who he may appear as.
In an interview for his upcoming film The Luckiest Man in America, Hauser said, “I enjoyed playing the character, thought the writing was great. The cast felt really lovable and succinct. And more than anything, you know, I never know now… even if a character dies, they get brought back because of the quantum realm of all the things. So it’s like, you know, could my character come back? Definitely could, never say never with Marvel. But I selfishly would like to come back because I really love that cast and crew, and think it’s a big privilege to be in that world and know that there is such an emotional investment globally for those types of stories.”
In the interview, he insinuated that his character does not survive the film. It is confirmed that he is not playing any of the Fantastic Four, Galactus or the Silver Surfer, so most of the heavy hitters are off the table, but he could be playing a lower level villain such as Mole Man. Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters July 25.
Paul Walter Hauser stars in The Luckiest Man in America this April, a film about the most infamous episode in game show history. He plays Michael Larson, an ice cream truck driver who studied game shows until he found a loophole he could exploit.
“I’m excited to talk about this movie,” he said when asked about the film. “I think a lot of people hate to do press, but I always like it if I’m actually proud of the movie, how it’s turned out. This is one that I had fun making and feel good about.” The Luckiest Man in America releases in theaters on April 4.
