At the SDCC Marvel panel they provided some details about the Fantastic Four film, which hasn’t started filming as of yet. It will be directed by Matt Shackman. Describing the tone of the film in reference to the time period it’s set in Shackman said, “The 60s is all about optimism”.
The cast includes Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss Bacharach, Pedro Pascal, and Joseph Quinn. Kirby said, “It’s so beautiful to be at work… We want to do it justice”.
The Fantastic Four cast is also reported to make appearances in the two Avengers film that will be made. These will be directed by Marvel legends, the Russo brothers.
A short clip was played where the cast was trapped in a room where a timer was ticking.
