Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the sequel of the original film subtitled Into The Spider-Verse is currently set to release on June 2nd. Leading up to this theatrical release, there are several lively advertisements surrounding the movie, including Nike Jordans that are partnered with Across the Spider-Verse.
Comicbook explains how this is actually the second instance of a Spider-Verse and Jordans collaboration, with the one advertising Into the Spider-Verse being named “Origin Story”, and this new pair being known as “Next Chapter”.
Nike’s description of the sneakers states: “You don’t need a cape to take flight– just your AJ1s. You know, the ones seen on Miles in ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’, exclusively in theaters this June. This fresh take on the iconic Chicago colorway boasts a mix of materials, including lustrous leather and soft suede. The world is waiting, so step on in.”
The advertising billboard for this drop was shown in Times Square, which showcased the sneakers and the film itself. The billboard can be seen here:
