Emilia Clarke (HBO’s Game of Thrones) and Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class) are in talks to play bank-robbing lovers Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow in the upcoming adaptation of Jeff Guinn’s non-fiction book Go Down Together: The True, Untold Story of Bonnie and Clyde.
The film will tell a revisionist tale of the real-life outlaws who robbed banks throughout the South in the 1930’s, leaving at least seven people dead in the process.
Bonnie and Clyde have been the subject of many film and television ventures, the most famous of which is the 1967 classic Bonnie and Clyde starring Warren Beaty and Faye Dunaway.
Go Down Together will be directed by Michael Sucsy (The Vow) from the script which was adapted by Sheldon Turner (Up in the Air) and David Auburn (Proof).
While Clarke is already back in action on Game of Thrones, she is currently filming Terminator: Genesis and will appear as Sarah Connor when it hits theaters in 2015. Hoult is also appearing in a blockbuster franchise and will be seen reprising his role as Beast when X-Men: Days of Future Past is released this Friday.
