Emile Hirsch and John Cusack in ‘Pursuit’: Official Trailer and Poster Released

Collider reports that Lionsgate released a trailer and poster for the upcoming action thriller Pursuit yesterday, starring Emile Hirsch’s face-tatted character and John Cusack. It’s set for release in theaters and on-demand on February 18.

The official synopsis for the film reads: “John Cusack (Grosse Pointe Blank) and Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild) star in this action thriller about a tough cop’s hunt for an even tougher criminal. Detective Breslin crosses paths with Calloway (Hirsch), a ruthless hacker desperate to find his wife, who has been kidnapped by a drug cartel. When Calloway escapes police custody, Breslin joins forces with a no-nonsense female cop to reclaim his prisoner. But is Calloway’s crime-boss father (Cusack) somehow involved in this explosive situation?”

Jake Manley (The Order) and Elizabeth Ludlow (The Walking Dead) are also included in the cast. Brian Skiba directs, with a script written by him, Andrew Stevens, Dawn Burstein, and Ben Fiore.

The film’s poster features an eye-popping yellow and black image that mimics the explosive scenes and storyline of the trailer. Cusack wears polarized sunglasses, Hirsch clutches a gun in hand, and a gunman wears a skull-themed bandana to hide their face.
