On January 28, 2019 during the Sundance Film Festival, The Dwayne Johnson produced WWE movie, Fighting With My Family, will make it’s premiere at the festival. The showing of the film is actually a surprise and last minute addition to Sundance’s line-up of film.
This has not been the first time a film has been added to Sundance’s line-up of films to be showcased. Last year, Jason Reitman’s Tully was also showcased at the festival and in 2017, Jordan Peele’s Horror Hit Get Out also premiered at the festival as well. This is however, the first time a film from small production house Seven Bucks films has been selected to premiere at the festival in their special premiere event.
After trying to fund the film outside the studio system and all the hard work to get this true story made onto the big screen, Dwayne Johnson, who produced the film, along side director Stephen Merchant, Dany Garcia and president of Seven Bucks Productions Hiram Garcia will be at Sundance to witness the premiere of the film they worked so hard on.
Fighting With My Family will premiere everywhere else in theaters February 14.
