‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ Announced as Official D&D Film Title

This week, an official announcement from Paramount Pictures gave the upcoming and highly anticipated Dungeons & Dragons film an official title: Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves via their Instagram page. The script is being brought to life from a story created by Gilio and Chris McKay, which will come to life on March 3, 2023.

The film is based on Hasbro’s famed Dungeons & Dragons tabletop game known for its fantastical elements and endless storytelling possibilities. Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley directed the film from a script penned by Goldstein, Daley, and Michael Gilio. Jeremy Latcham, Brian Goldner, and Nick Meyer are on board as producers, with executive producers Denis L. Stewart, Goldstein, Daley, Zev Foreman, Greg Mooradian, and Pine, who will star in the film.

Pine will star alongside Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Chloe Coleman, Daisy Head, and Hugh Grant.

Page spoke with Variety last June and remarked that the film will be a “huge sigh of relief for ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ fans everywhere.” Pine has also teased the film as a mix of Game of Thrones, The Princess Bride, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and The Goonies, so it seems as though this film will be a fun ride and not take itself too seriously.

With under a year until its release, the film is expected to begin publicizing more soon.
