In an interesting piece of casting news, it was announced today that iconic actor Morgan Freeman will have a role in the upcoming comedy sequel Ted 2, which is currently in production. Freeman will reportedly play a civil rights lawyer who helps the talking teddy bear with some legal issues. Mark Wahlberg and several other actors from the original will be reprising their roles, though Mila Kunis will not be returning. Playing the female lead this time around will be Amanda Seyfried, who also starred in writer-director Seth MacFarlane’s western comedy A Million Ways To Die in the West. As we covered here previously, Ted 2 currently has planned release date of June 26th, 2015.
