After mention of a “thank you” in Black Panther’s credits Ryan Coogler (Creed, Fruitvale Station), writer/director of Marvel’s highly-anticipated film, revealed during an interview that Donald (Solo: A Star Wars Story) and Stephen Glover (Atlanta) were asked to give feedback on one of the film’s final drafts. Coogler later states that what came of their insight was a punching up of banter between siblings Shuri (Letetia Wright) and T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman).
He goes on to say “Donald’s one of the funniest people that I know,” adding that his brother Stephen is “crazy talented as well. The truth behind these statements can be observed in the brother’s upcoming second season of FX’s Atlanta, which is set to air March 1st. Black Panther will be released Friday, February 16th, but with record-breaking numbers in pre-sale tickets (over $170 million), you might want to wait until the crowds die down to catch this one.
