The upcoming film Do Not Open has released a new trailer. Do Not Open is directed by Brian Babarik.
The film contributes to the ongoing conversation about the consequences of technology turning against humanity, viewed through the experiences of a teenager who frequently clashes with her family.
Kian Lawson-Khalili, Johanna Smitz and Noëlle Gutierrez lead the cast.
Babarik is both the writer and director of Do Not Open. While he has a few directing credits, his background is primarily in cinematography. He served as cinematographer for episodes of My Strange Addiction, 60 Days In, Four Weddings and other TV series.
Babarik highlighted the film’s core themes, explaining that people often overlook what might be happening on the other side of the screens we encounter daily.
“In Do Not Open, we explore what happens when we take the blinders off and explore what is on the other side of all those tiny cameras and microphones observing us every waking and sleeping moment,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.
Do Not Open will be available digitally Nov. 12. Check out the trailer below.
