Disney+ To Have ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Immediately Available For Streaming

Sorry, Netflix subscribers: it looks like your platform probably won’t be streaming Avengers: Endgame  anytime soon. Disney+, Disney’s long awaited streaming service, will instead make the film available on Nov. 12, the day of its launch. Originally set to hit Disney+ Dec. 11, according to Marvel Studios executive Kevin Feige’s announcement at the D23 Conference back in August, the film will now sit at the forefront of content available with the new subscription service. Perhaps this is another dig at Netflix for the cancelation of Marvel’s Defenders-centric shows earlier this year, an early sign of the streaming wars.

The superhero blockbuster, released this past April ,will join a variety of other Disney owned content including Star Wars, National Geographic, Pixar, and Marvel, which Disney acquired in 2009 for $4.2 billion. However, not all MCU films will be available immediately to stream. Only Iron ManIron Man 3Thor: The Dark WorldGuardians of the GalaxyAvengers: Age of UltronAnt-Man, and Captain Marvel will join Endgame right away. Disney has yet to disclose as for when the remaining Marvel’s films will become available.

Disney+ is available to preorder now for $6.99/month or $69.99/year. Avengers: Endgame will be available to stream on on Nov. 12 in the US, Canada and Netherlands and on Nov. 19 in Australia and New Zealand.
