Disney+ Drops New Trailer for ‘The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild’

According to Collider, The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild will premiere on Disney+ later this month. A new trailer was released today by the streamer. The upcoming animated film comes six years after the previous installment in the franchise, Ice Age: Collision Course. The weasel introduced in Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Buck (voiced by Simon Pegg), will now team up with other fan-favorites as they continue causing chaos on prehistoric Earth.

Buck is the new ringleader who isn’t afraid of throwing himself in death-defying adventures. The rest of the Ice Age heroes Manfred (Ray Romano), Ellie (Queen Latifah), Sid (John Leguizamo), and Diego (Denis Leary) inevitably have to rescue Buck from danger.

The film takes place in The Lost World, the “most dangerous place on Earth”. It houses giant predators, traps, and everything an animal not at the top of the food chain should avoid.

The voice cast features Utkarsh Ambudkar (Free Guy), Justina Machado (Netflix’s One Day at a Time), Vincent Tong (Ninjago animated series), and Aaron Harris in his voice acting debut. Tong and Harris take up the helm as the new voices of possums Crash and Eddie. Sean William Scott and Josh Peck previously voiced the duo in the last four films. Jim Hecht (Ice Age: The Meltdown), Ray DeLaurentis (Fairly Odd Parents), and Will Schifrin (Bunsen is a Beast) pen the script.

The Ice Age franchise began in 2022 and its worldwide gross of over $300 million put Blue Sky Animation studio on the map. After the first movie followed four sequels that brought in $3 billion across the years. Blue Sky shut down due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, the newest installment of the franchise was produced by animation studio Bardel Entertainment.

Disney+ debuts The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild on January 28. Check out the trailer below.
