Bradley Cooper will exercise his culinary skills in an upcoming film, formerly titled Chef, and now titled Adam Jones. Alongside him will be an international ensemble cast.
In the film, which was presumably renamed to avoid being mistaken for Jon Favreau’s 2014 indie flick Chef, Cooper plays a rockstar chef who returns to London in hopes of opening his best restaurant yet after a long hiatus from the kitchen. The film is currently in the pre-production phase, looking at a 2015 release.
Marion Cotillard and Michelle Williams were in talks as possible female leads, but it seems that role is now occupied by Lily James (Wrath of the Titans, Cinderella). Other actors attached to the film are Fifty Shades of Grey leading man Jamie Dornan, Emma Thompson (Saving Mr. Banks), Sienna Miller (Factory Girl) – who will join Cooper again in the upcoming Eastwood film American Sniper – Daniel Bruhl (Rush, the upcoming Amanda Knox-based film The Face of an Angel), and Omar Sy (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Jurassic World).
Adam Jones is being backed by the Weinstein Company, with Erwin Stoff, Michael Shamberg, and Stacey Sher serving as producers. Steven Knight (Dirty Pretty Things) wrote the screenplay and John Wells (August: Osage County) will direct.
