‘Deadpool 3’ Picks Up ‘She Hulk’ & ‘Spider-Man’ Comic Writer Zeb Wells

Zeb Wells, writer of some of the most iconic Spider-Man titles, writer of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022), and the upcoming Marvel Zombies (2024) has been revealed to be a co-writer for Deadpool 3This information comes from a casting report from last week that revealed Dopinder (Karan Soni) and Blind Al (Leslie Uggams) would be reprising their roles in the third film.

He joins co-writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who wrote Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool II (2018) in what will be the first Deadpool movie to take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When Deadpool 3 was first announced, Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin reportedly produced a draft before Wernick and Reese were added. It is unclear how much Wells may or may not be overhauling past drafts of scripts. (Via ComicBook.com)

Shawn Levy, director of Night At The Museum (2006), Stranger Things (2016), Arrival (2016), and Free Guy (2021), will be directing the project.

Levy assured fans last year that the third film would keep the violence the franchise is known for.

“It is so delicious to hear and write and come up with these scenes where people are just talking foul,” Levy said to Collider. “And the violence is in your face and hardcore, and it’s very much a ‘Deadpool’ movie.”

Deadpool 3 has an expected release date of November 8, 2024.
