Daniel Craig Still Has No Idea Why Anyone Cared About Chris Evans Sweater in ‘Knives Out’

The original Knives Out film featured actor Chris Evans, who stole the spotlight when his character wore the famous white sweater. Daniel Craig, who plays Benoit Blanc in the original Knives Out, has no idea why Evans’s sweater became so popular.

The Hollywood Reporter writes about an interview conducted with Craig by BBC Radio 1, who mentions how he doesn’t understand why Evans’s character, Hugh Ranson, in a white sweater got so much popularity.

The Hollywood Reporter notes Craig’s comments regarding the sweater, “It’s the bit that goes over my head,” Craig said. “I don’t understand. It’s like, so Chris Evans is wearing a jumper. It’s like he’s naked, or at least naked from the sort of waist down, wearing a jumper. I’m like, ‘He’s just wearing a jumper.”

Knives Out, directed by Rian Johnson, was released in 2019 and received positive reviews. The film’s stellar cast included Craig, Evans,  Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Christopher Plummer, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Evans is set to appear in Ghosted, Red One, and Pain Hustlers. Craig stars in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and its unannounced sequel and is excited to see what the audience will obsess about this time.

Glass Onion is now out on Netflix. Check out our review if you’re undecided on wether to see it!
