Damien Leone, the writer/director behind the Terrifier movies, has taken to social media to provide an update on the fourth installment of the slasher film franchise. In Facebook post, Leone gave a full update on Terrifier 4‘s production status. “The script is very close to completion, and I’m hoping to begin pre-production this spring,” Leone stated in the post. Leone then goes on to explain why the film has taken so long to write, calling it the “most challenging” script he’s ever written, and that “There’s a lot of material to tackle and a lot riding on this one, not just creatively but emotionally.”
Lenone also states that he wanted to ensure the film would please the cast, crew, and the fans of this franchise, saying, “The cast and crew who have been here since the beginning deserve a finale that honors their dedication, and the fans who’ve championed this franchise deserve something unforgettable.” Leone also goes on to explain that he will announce the completion of the script and when the film begins Pre-Production, once the script is fully completed, saying, “If you don’t see it coming from or confirmed by me, then it’s not official.
