The MCU X-Men finally has a first look at some of its team as Marvel Studios executive Kevin Fiege took to the stage on D23’s opening night to officially announce some of the main players of powerful mutant group.
Leading the group is the already confirmed Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, whose character was introduced in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Samara Weaving as Emma Frost. Brand new casting announcements regarding the team including popular rumors Kit Connor as Cyclops and Christopher Abbott as Professor X along with breakout star Inde Navarette as Rogue and Maya Boyd as Storm. Adam Driver also was announced in the antagonist role of Mr. Sinister.
This certainly isn’t the first X-Men group that was has been formed on the big screen. The original trilogy included Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magento, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, James Mardsen as Cyclops, Halle Berry as Storm, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, and Famke Janssen as Jean Grey. After that prequel like First Class and Days of Future Past dominate the X-Men universe with an ensemble of James McAvoy as Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magento, Jennifer Lawerence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Evan Peter as Quicksilver, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tyler Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler.
The film will be released on May 5, 2028.
