The annual Critics Choice Awards have been rescheduled to take place on Sunday, January 26. The event will be held in the Barker Hanger at the Santa Monica Airport, with Chelsea Handler returning for her third year as host. It will air live on E! at 7 p.m. ET/PT and be available to watch on Peacock the next day.
Originally scheduled to occur on Sunday, January 12, the ceremony was canceled due to the Palisades fire raging in California. To date, more than 5,000 acres and some 1,000 structures have burned, not to mention the loss of life and injuries that have resulted.
“This unfolding tragedy has already had a profound impact on our community. All our thoughts and prayers are with those battling the devastating fires and with all who have been affected,” said Joey Berlin, CEO of the Critics Choice Awards.
This year’s nominations for the Best Picture include Conclave and Wicked, each with 11 nominations, followed closely by Dune: Part Two and Emilia Pérez, with 10 nominations each. The remaining nominees in the category include A Complete Unknown, Anora, The Brutalist, Nickel Boys, Sing Sing, and The Substance.
Executive producers for the show are Bob Bain Productions and Berlin Entertainment. The Critics Choice Awards are represented by Dan Black at Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
