Controversial Actors Poke Fun At Themselves In Spoof, ‘National Lampoon’s Hollywood Hustle’

Taking a peek behind the curtain of showbiz has long intrigued the general public thus, a movie about said notion was initiated by notorious comedic production company, National Lampoon with participation from actors that have had long-standing careers in the business to give a darkly funny spin on what life truly is like behind the scenes for the stars we see on screens as they reenact scandals they had to live through to survive or revive their careers in the entertainment industry – all in the style of a satire as they play embellished forms of themselves.

Some notable performers that will be seen in this film are Mickey Rourke, Danny Trejo, Alec Baldwin, and Nick Cannon – all of whom have experienced public scrutiny, as elaborated on in the original coverage from The Hollywood Reporter. The comedy also has surprising musical contributor for its score, for Serj Tankian composed the music heard throughout and provides an element of rock and roll that appropriately mirrors the infamous chaotic Hollywood lifestyle. No stranger to setting the sonic mood for film, he released his first soundtrack back in April 2016 for 1915, a film to commemorate the 100th anniversary of a horrific Armenian genocide. Tankian then lent these same talents to two other films in 2017 and Spitak in 2018 (all of his soundtracks are listed here).

Although the announcement of this project is making its rounds, a set release date has not yet been provided. Hollywood Hustle will definitely cause cringey discomfort upon viewing and undoubtedly ruffle feathers, but that is what the filmmakers are historically known for , and perhaps the creators aim to portray the actors’ hardships that are often lost upon movie viewers to provoke the thought that their vision of reality as a Hollywood star may be clouded by the stars in their eyes.
