Directed by Craig Brewer, Paramount Pictures is working eagerly on the sequel to the 1988 comedy Coming to America and have enlisted an all-star cast. Beauvais will reprise her role as one of the rose bearers from the original film serving as Semmi’s (Arsenio Hall) love interest. Mbatha’s role is currently undisclosed, much like the rest of the newer cast.
The two actresses join a already hefty cast consisting of returning cast members Murphy, Hall, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, John Amos, Paul Bates, Louie Anderson, and Vanessa Bell Calloway. New casting additions for the sequel include Jermaine Fowler, Wesley Snipes, Tracy Morgan, Leslie Jones, KiKi Layne, Rick Ross, Luenell, Rotimi, Teyana Taylor, and Michael Blackson.
