Upcoming film Come With Me was acquired by the independent film distributor and production company Vertical. The film is set to star Theo Rossi and Ron Perlman, being billed as a psychological thriller where audiences will follow, “Simon Ward (Rossi), a working-class man whose life unravels after a traumatic home invasion, mounting problems at work and the loss of his best friend.”
Alongside the acquisition announcement from Firebrook Entertainment, the film also secured a limited theatrical release, with the film hitting select locations on September 4. Simon (Rossi) will fall into a rabbit hole procured by “rhetoric spewing radio host”, causing Simon to lash out violently at the many injustices invading his world.
The North American distribution rights deal with Vertical Entertainment was spearheaded by John Moss. Moss is the CEO and owner of Firebrook, and he himself labeled Vertical as the “perfect home” for director Aaron Harvey’s Come With Me.
“Theo Rossi delivers a performance audiences are going to remember, and we can’t wait for them to experience it. This is a great win for Aaron, producer Demetrius Stear and everyone who poured themselves into making this movie.”
The cast of the film is rounded out by: Kate French, Ronnie Gene Blevins, Michael Sirow, Chris Mullinax, Aaron Quick Nelson, Jay Huguley, T.C. Matherne, and Marion Kerr. Producers on the film include: Demetrius Stear, Colin Bates, Kevin Greene, and Nicholas Carmona. Director Aaron Harvey penned the script alongside Jonathan Croom. Harvey also took some time to peel back the curtain on what audiences are in for.
“Come With Me is a film about perception and paranoia, and it couldn’t be more relevant than in our current, content-laden landscape, where what we ingest creates and molds the person we become, for good or bad. To see Theo Rossi portray this struggle in such an incredible and intense way was a pleasure to have created with him, and we wanted to make a genuine reflection of how damaging rhetoric can be when fed into a susceptible mind.”
This is not the only Theo Rossi film gearing up for release, with Rossi also set to star in upcoming films Bruton and The Saviors, with The Saviors also set to pair up Rossi and Perlman again. Audiences will likely be most familiar with the pairing from their time together on hit series Sons of Anarchy. Watch the full trailer for Come With Me below.
