Star Wars is about to return to the big screen for the first time in more than five years. With the release of The Mandalorian & Grogu just around the corner, the film is set to debut at CinemaCon, with none other than director Jon Favreau appearing at the convention as well.
The Mandalorian & Grogu follows the adventures of intergalactic bounty hunter Din Djarin, alongside his young companion, Grogu. As the New Republic continues to expand its reach in the galaxy, they recruit the help of Mando and his little friend to follow a path in the criminal underworld to help bring down an Imperial Remnant still trying to bring forth tyranny. Since its conception in 2019, The Mandalorian has seen heavy involvement from Jon Favreau. Not only has he been an executive producer on the show since it launched as a flagship title for Disney+, but he also helped create the show and the character of Din Djarin as a whole.
The Hollywood Reporter noted that CinemaCon will be hosting Disney once again this year, and they will use their allotted time to premiere The Mandalorian & Grogu to attendees. On top of being there to help the film debut, Favreau will also be attending the Creative Community luncheon this year, alongside moderator Matt Belloni. Favreau will be the headliner for the luncheon and is set to be followed by the premiere of Mando & Grogu.
The Mandalorian & Grogu hits theaters May 22nd.
