Chris Hemsworth Shares BTS Video of Thor on ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Set

Thor shows off his musical talent in a brief film Chris Hemsworth posted on social media Thursday. The God of Thunder strummed a guitar and sang Johnny Cash’s “Hurt,” a song famously used in the non-MCU trailer for Marvel’s Logan. The caption for the post reads “Not sure why everyone’s so worried about Thor, he’s fine guys…” This sad portrayal of “Fat Thor” in the video reminds viewers of the despair Thor continues to feels after the defeat he and the Avengers’ suffered under Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. On “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Hemsworth stated that singing the song got him to inhabit the necessary mindset to embody this new Thor in Avengers: Endgame.

The other Avengers also took to social media after Endgame‘s release to show different behind the scenes footage. Chris Evans shared a film of the cast standing around the set, which puts Endgame into perspective since the scene was not embellished by CGI visuals found in the final film. Evans, Mark Ruffalo, and Tom Holland all shared personal moments from Endgame’s final scene.

While Marvel’s Third Phase has ended, other super hero films are slated to premiere soon. This includes Spider Man: Far From Home, an untitled Black Widow film, and Doctor Strange 2.
