Chris Hemsworth And Halle Berry Talk Working With Each Other On Upcoming Film

In an interview with E! News, Chris Hemsworth discussed his experiences working with co-star Halle Berry on the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios film Crime 101, shown off during the studio’s panel at CinemaCon 2025. In the interview, Hemsworth states he was “intimidated” by working with Berry on the film. “I’ve admired Halle’s work for many, many years. I was obviously very intimidated to sit opposite her within a scene and try and, you know, not just be in awe of what she was doing”, stated Hemsworth.

Despite this, Hemsworth also discussed how Berry helped ease these worries during the film’s production, saying: “Certain people just bring out not just the best in you, but also sort of a comfort level where it feels like it’s a place to explore and it’s a place to examine different ideas and try different things. And that was the experience.” He also added that he “loved every second” of this experience.

In her interview with E! News, Berry shared many of these sentiments, calling Hemsworth “One of my new favorite people in the whole wide world.” Berry also called Hemsworth a “Stand-up guy” and expanded by saying: “I won’t go into it now, but he stood up for me in a moment in our movie, and instantly I knew right then I’m gonna follow this guy, be a fan of this guy for the rest of his life because he stood up for a woman. He didn’t have to do it, and he did it.”

In addition to starring Hemsworth and Berry, Crime 101 will also feature a star-studded cast made up of actors such as Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, and Monica Barbaro. The film, based on a novel by the same name written by Don Winslow, follows a detective as he attempts to solve a string of jewel heists by tracking the perpetrator, who follows a strict set of rules known as “Crime 101.”

The film will be released theatrically by Amazon MGM Studios sometime this year.
