A title like Robot Overlords may give readers a reason to think Jon Wright’s latest film is mere parody – the kind more suitable for a five minute segment on a late-night sketch show. However, if the recent trailer and Wright’s previous film, Grabbers are any clues, Robot Overlords will be a sincere throwback to films of yesteryear – Robot Overlords is to War of the Worlds as Grabbers is to Tremors. Callan McAuliffe (The Great Gatsby), Ben Kingsley (The Boxtrolls, Ender’s Game) and Gillian Anderson (TV’s Hannibal and The X-Files) will be battling their robot overlords in theaters March 19th
