Before Jaume Baleguero could get around to making his third English-language feature film, he had to finish the fourth entry in his Spanish horror franchise: [REC 4] Apocalypse. Like the rest of [REC] films, Apocalypse will deal with a virus that turns people into crazed mutants – they can never be nice sane mutants can they? However, it will not be shot in the found-footage manner that helped make the series popular – that trend was bucked in third entry. [REC 4] Apocalypse is set for release January 2, 2015.
