There’s a new transporter in town, this time played by Ed Skrein (TV’s Game of Thrones). Relativity and EuropaCorp have released the teaser trailer and the poster for the next installment in the Transporter series, The Transporter Refueled. Skrein plays Frank Martin, the best transporter money can buy, whose deal quickly turns sour when he realizes he’s being played by his clients.
Martin is hired by Anna, the classic femme fatale, and her three beautiful sidekicks to help them take down a ring of Russian human traffickers, only to find that Anna has kidnapped his father, played by Ray Stevenson (Big Game), to force him to do her dirty work. This installment, though missing Jason Statham, the actor who made this series what it is, will be a high-thrills, high-tech ride across the French Riviera as Martin proves that being the best transporter means keeping up with the times while still following the same three rules: never change the deal, no names, and never open the package.
Skrein and Stevenson will be joined by Loan Chabanol, Radivoje Bukvic, Gabriella Wright, Anatole Taubman, and Tatiana Pajkovic in the movie, which will be directed by Camille Delamarre. The Transporter Refueled will hit theaters on June 19, 2015.
