Sony may be taking heat for its new movie The Interview, but that didn’t stop it from releasing this gleefully profane new red band trailer. The movie is of course about two TV journalists who are tasked with assassinating Kim Jong-un after they score an exclusive interview with the North Korean dictator. James Franco plays the sleazy on-air reporter, while Seth Rogen plays his more ambitious producer. Lizzy Caplan (Hot Tub Time Machine) plays the CIA agent who recruits them. It was directed by Rogen and partner Evan Goldberg, who previously collaborated behind the camera on last year’s This is the End, which also starred Franco. The trio also worked together on Pineapple Express (2008). Sony will release The Interview on Christmas Day.
