The second trailer for Shaun the Sheep the Movie the Movie has been released. Unlike the first teaser, this new one gives a better sense of the Movie‘s plot = though it’s really just an excuse to throw the titular Shaun and his fellow mutton-infused farm animals into unfortunate situations, and allow shenanigans to ensue.
When SHAUN decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for! SHAUN’s mischief inadvertently leads to The Farmer being taken away from the farm, to the Big City…
Join SHAUN, Bitzer and The Flock on their hilarious, action-packed, big screen adventure as they make plans to rescue the missing Farmer.
As we’ve mentioned before, the Movie based on a British television show of the same name (minus the Movie part, of course) which is based on a character from a Wallace and Gromit short film.
Judging from the trailer, the Movie is retaining the show’s brand of humor: physical, slapstick, with little to no dialogue. The filmmakers also look to be taking the “go big” approach for television-to-film adapting. While the show took place mostly on a single location (a small farm), the movie takes the hijinks on a tour through a big city.
Shaun the Sheep the Movie will be opening in UK theaters – cinemas, sorry – on February 6, 2015, with a likely U.S. release at a later date.
