Not long after the release of an international teaser, the first not-subtitled-in-French trailer for It Follows is here, complete with a longer running time and more details on the plot. The film takes a tried and true horror premise, “supernatural killer stalks attractive young people,” and gives it a little twist: the mystery assailant is the effect of what seems to be a sexually transmitted curse. Maika Monroe (The Guest) stars as the young lady attempting to survive long enough to rid herself of the affliction. It Follows is still making its festival run, but is expected to arrive in theaters this year.
