Check Out the New ‘Star Wars’ Character Posters

It is indeed the most wonderful time of the year – for Star Wars fans, at least. We recently got to see the final theatrical trailer, and it was glorious, but we’re still not done being spoiled with more Star Wars: The Force Awakens goodness. This time out, we get individual character posters. Check them out below.

John Boyega as Finn holding up his blue lightsaver.

Adam Driver as Kylo Ren holding up his red lightsaver

Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia.

A close up of Daisy Ridley as Rey.

Harrison Ford as Han Solo holds up his signature DL-44 blaster.

Above you can see the five character posters. The five characters highlighted are Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Finn (John Boyega), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford). The posters themselves don’t give us any new information and it isn’t anything we haven’t seen before, but it’s still fun seeing a close up of Kylo Ren’s awesome mask with his red lightsaver shimmering with badass-ness.

The best close-up look may be of Princess Leia. We just got our first look at her in the final trailer and the new posters gives us the first close up shot of her face. There are green orb lights covering some of her face but we still notice an ear piece that looks like the old Bluetooth earpieces. Maybe they have Bluetooth in the Star Wars universe. Han Solo’s poster shows him holding up his signature DL-44 blaster, which he famously used to shoot Greedo (first).

Other than Princess Leia, the other main detail we noticed is Kylo Ren and Finn’s lightsavers. Finn’s lightsaver is straight with no disturbance while Kylo’s is bursting with sparks that is reminiscent of welding. Overall, we really enjoyed the new posters.

Anticipation is at an all time peak for the new Stars Wars movie, and these new posters just add to the fire. Luckily, there are only 43 days until the release of The Force Awakens. We’re almost there.
