It’s just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man dropping by with the a new trailer for the highly anticipated forthcoming summer flick Spider-Man: Homecoming. Sony releases the film – it’s third re-tooling of the Marvel superhero – in a few months and in preparation has dropped our latest tease of the feature.
Rising young actor Tom Holland stars as the webslinger in the youth-slanted reboot – taking over the reins previously claimed by actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield – in the first Sony/MCU co-venture of the Spidey franchise. Holland, to much ado and fanfare, made his debut in the part in last summer’s smash Captain America: Civil War. As has already been teased throughout, Robert Downey Jr. appears in the film as Iron Man/Tony Stark, with Chris Evans (Captain America/Steve Rogers) and Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan) both expected to reprise their MCU roles in the film.
The ensemble cast is rounded out by Oscar winner Marisa Tomei (The Wrestler), Zendaya (The Greatest Showman), Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus), Donald Glover (The Martian) and Hannibal Buress (Daddy’s Home). Two-time Oscar nominee Michael Keaton, in a return to superhero fare, will portray main villain The Vulture. Jon Watts (Cop Car) directs.
A new one-sheet for the film has landed as well.
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7th.
