Football fans tuning in to see the Patriots-Seahawks matchup in this weekend’s Super Bowl have a special treat in store. Universal has chosen to premiere the trailer for the upcoming Ted 2 during the big game. The sequel to Seth MacFarlane’s 2012 hit about a foul-mouthed, raunchy teddy bear finds our (maybe not-so) lovable hero as a newlywed looking to start a family.
In Ted 2, Ted marries his sweetheart Tami-Lynn (Jessica Barth) and they look forward to starting a family. When they have trouble conceiving, Ted enlists his long-time buddy John Bennett (The Gambler‘s Mark Wahlberg) as a sperm donor, and as in the first film, hilarity ensues. Amanda Seyfried (Mean Girls), Morgan Freeman (Now You See Me), and Liam Neeson (Taken) join the action for this go-round.
MacFarlane (A Million Ways to Die in The West) voices Ted and directs from a script he co-wrote with Alec Sulkin & Wellesley Wild. The film hits theaters on June 26th. Check out the trailer below.
