Disney will be following up their recent under-performer, Tomorrowland, with different take on an alternate perfect world, in the animated film Zootopia.
Starring the voice of Jason Bateman (Horrible Bosses) as Nick Wilde, a wily, fast-talking fox, and Ginnifer Goodwin (TV’s Once Upon a Time) as Judy Hopps, his natural enemy in the animal kingdom and in the civilized world of Zootopia – a by-the-books police rabbit. After being falsely accused of a crime, Nick must go on the run. Judy soon becomes entangled in the same conspiracy and the two are forced to cooperate and reconcile their differences.
Tangled‘s Byron Howard and Wreck It Ralph‘s Rich Moore are directing the film based on the script by Jared Bush. This is Bush’s first time writing for an animated feature, which he is also co-directing with Howard and Moore.
Zootopia is set to hit theaters on March 4, 2016. Check out the first teaser below, which gives audiences a sneak peek into the humorous antics to come between the two opposing personalities of fox and rabbit.
