Scheduled for next year is the ninth Fast and Furious sequel, with Charlize Theron returning as the villainous Cypher from 2017’s Fate of the Furious. Many were shocked with the casting initially, but what drew more attention was Theron’s new look, as she sported white dreads throughout the film.
Now with Fast 9 on its way next summer, Theron showed off her new look on Twitter.

With a new cropped hairdo, Cypher is looking to stay focus with her hairstyle trends as much as her cyber-terrorism against Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his gang. While its still unknown what role Theron’s character will play in this film, it’s possible she won’t be a complete antagonist this time, since its not uncommon for past villains like Luke Hobbes (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) to join Dom’s side when facing a new threat. Fans of Cypher will be sure to enjoy the new look she’ll be flashing on the big screen.
Justin Lin will return to direct the sequel with Daniel Casey penning the script this time. The regular cast is set to return, but new arrivals in John Cena and Michael Rooker will bring much anticipation to the franchise’s 9th installment. Fast and Furious 9 will be released in theaters May 22nd 2020.
