Jeff Grace’s indie flick about a singer-songwriter and a struggling comedian going on the road together has added some new cast members. Heather Morris and Meredith Wagner have joined the cast of the movie inspired by Grace’s own time as an opening act for a friend of his.
Morris, best known for her role on Fox’s Glee, will play Nicole, while Meredith Wagner, known for her role on TBS’ Men at Work, will play Bryn. A full synopsis has not been released as of yet, so nothing more than their names is known. These two join the stars Wyatt Russell (22 Jump Street) and Alex Karpovsky (HBO’s Girls), who play childhood friends traveling together, Russell as an already successful singer-songwriter and Karpovsky as a struggling comedian trying to kickstart a stand-up career.
As mentioned, the movie is inspired by Grace’s own experiences and will mark his directorial debut. The music in the movie will be originally composed by musician Adam Ezra, the man with whom Grace traveled with in real life. Also appearing in the movie will be Melanie Lynskey (Up in the Air) and Michael Ian Black (Run, Fatboy, Run).
Filming is set to start this February in Atlanta and the movie is set for release some time next year.
