Captain America vs. Iron Man: Who’s on Whose Team?

Marvel’s upcoming Captain America: Civil War revolves around a contentious divide among The Avengers when the government requires that all superheroes register their secret identities in an effort to develop a system of accountability. Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.) supports the registration, however Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) is insistent on the right to privacy. Still throughout this fracture, the Avengers must continue to safeguard humanity from a new and nefarious villain. In an exclusive from comicbookmovie new promo art has been released revealing who’s on whose team.

Standing with Captain America are Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Agent 13 (Emily VanCamp), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).

In Iron Man’s corner are War Machine (Don Cheadle), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), and Vision (Paul Bettany). It may come as a surprise to see Black Widow on a team opposing Captain America and Hawkeye, as she has been close aligned to these superheroes in previous films.

An epic battle is shown erupting between the two factions in this promo piece.

This is the third Captain America film in the series, and the start of Phase 3 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Captain America: Civil War is due on May 6, 2016.
