With the third Jurassic World on the horizon, many are speculating what other characters may return in the film from previous movies. With actors like Laura Dern and Sam Neil returning for Jurassic World Dominion, many are wondering who else could possibly be added. Fortunately Universal is bringing back an unlikely character in Dominion. This week it was announced that character actor Campbell Scott will appear in Jurassic Park Dominion reprising his role from the original film.
Scott played a rather small yet key role in the original Jurassic Park film, as he played a mysterious scientist in a red shirt and sunglasses. This man was the person who gave Denis Nedry (Wayne Knight) the fake can of shaving cream in order to store dinosaur embryos. Campbell’s moment in the film was also the same sequence where Nedry’s famous “See, no one cares!” joke occurred as well.
No word on what his role in Dominion will be, however if it is anything like his role in the first film, he will likely play a key role into the major conflict at hand with the film. With this film set to be a potential grand finale to the Jurassic World trilogy, it is clear that bringing back minor characters like Campbell Scott’s character in the film sets the stage for this film will be a big deal for the Jurassic Park franchise. Only a matter of time for fans to witness whatever dinosaur mayhem Collin Trevorrow and company will offer in this third film of the ever growing Jurassic World franchise.
Jurassic World Dominion is set for release on June 11th, 2021.
