20th Century Fox has just released the first official trailer for the Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere. Jeremy Allen White (The Iron Claw, The Bear) will be portraying Bruce Springsteen in the film, as we watch him navigate the music world and springboard to fame. The film also stars Jeremy Strong (Succession, The Apprentice) as Springsteen’s manager, Jon Landau.
In the trailer, we see Springsteen’s journey of trying to develop his hit album Nebraska all while trying to discover his place in the world. The film is based on a book of the same name written by Warren Zanes. In a statement from Scott Cooper, the film’s director, he said “Making ‘Springsteen’ was deeply moving as it allowed me to step inside the soul of an artist I’ve long admired—and to witness, up close, the vulnerability and strength behind his music. The experience felt like a journey through memory, myth, and truth. And more than anything, it was a privilege to translate that raw emotional honesty to the screen, and in doing so, it changed me. I cannot thank Bruce and Jon Landau enough for allowing me to tell their story.”
Alongside Jeremy Allen White and Jeremy Strong, Paul Walter Hauser, Odessa Young Stephen Graham and Marc Maron are cast in the film. Springsteen: Deleiver Me From Nowhere is set to hit theaters on October 24.
