Robert Zemeckis is teaming up with Brad Pitt for an epic romantic thriller based on an original screenplay by Steven Knight(Eastern Promises) and produced by Paramount Pictures. No specific details about the film have been released, though The Wrap reports that it’s likely set in World War II. Zemeckis’s previous directing credits for Paramount include Forrest Gump (1994), which won him a Best Director Oscar, and Flight (2012), starring Denzel Washington. He is currently handling post-production on The Walk, which will be released in the fall. Pitt was most recently seen in last year’s Fury (also set in World War II) and is attached to Adam McKay’s upcoming film The Big Short.
