Blue Fox Entertainment Names Lisa Gutberlet as President During Company Overhaul

Blue Fox Entertainment has undergone a significant restructuring, forming a new parent company called Blue Fox Entertainment Group, which will oversee multiple business verticals. The new group includes domestic distribution and international sales company Blue Fox Entertainment, a minority stake in Blue Fox Entertainment Canada, digital genre label Red Hound Entertainment and Blue Fox Financing. This move is aimed at streamlining operations and expanding the company’s influence in the independent film and television market.

As part of the restructuring, Lisa Gutberlet has been elevated to President of Blue Fox Entertainment, where she will oversee domestic distribution, video-on-demand and other key business areas. Previously serving as Executive Vice President of International Sales & Acquisitions, Gutberlet will now have a broader role within the company.

“Lisa embodies the characteristics of leadership within this industry,” said James Huntsman, founder of Blue Fox Entertainment and head of Blue Fox Entertainment Group. “She is smart, dedicated, has an eye for quality content, and remains calm under pressure.”

“She will continue to play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth initiatives while further strengthening its position as a global leader in the independent film and television market,” he added.

Blue Fox Entertainment Group’s mission is to simplify the distribution process for filmmakers by offering a one-stop solution for North American theatrical and digital distribution, international sales, and financing options.

Huntsman emphasized that this structure “lowers the cost and reduces complexity for filmmakers, who today have to go to several different companies to get their films to market.”

“I am honored to take on this new role and excited to continue to work alongside James and our talented team to push boundaries, champion creativity and deliver more exceptional content to audiences worldwide as we drive into this next phase of our growth,” Gutberlet said.

Additionally, Blue Fox Entertainment Group has appointed indie publicist Richard Stafford as Vice President of Public Relations and Patrick Alach as General Counsel, while Alach continues his practice at Longo & Alach law firm.
