Black Bear Pictures (The Imitation Game, Little Fish, Dumb Money) most recent project The Rivals Of Amziah King has recently wrapped production, and today has announced the rest of its supporting cast.
The film was already known to star Matthew McConaughey, but according to Deadline, the supporting cast now includes Kurt Russell, Cole Sprouse, Owen Teague, Scott Shepherd, Rob Morgan, Tony Revolori, Jake Horowitz, and Angelina LookingGlass, an industry newcomer. LookingGlass will star in the lead opposite of McConaughey and her cast was the result of a worldwide search.
The official plot line for The Rivals Of Amziah King has not been disclosed, but Deadline describes the film’s premise as “a character-focused crime thriller set against the backdrop of rural Oklahoma.”
Black Bear fully backed this film financially and worked with Heyday Films and G.E.D. Media to produce. The film is directed and written by Andrew Patterson, known for his 2019 film The Vast of Night, which stars Sierra McCormick, Jake Horowitz, Bruce Davis, Gail Cronauer, and many others.
The release date for The Rivals Of Amziah King has yet to be announced.
