Ten-time Grammy award winner and two-time Oscar winner for Best Original Song, Billie Eilish, is set to make her feature film acting debut in Sarah Polley’s next film, The Bell Jar. The film, based on the Synthia Platt book of the same name, will follow a young woman’s struggles with mental illness and descent into madness in 1950s America.

Sarah Polley will write and direct the film. It’ll be her follow-up to the film Women Talking, which Polley also wrote and directed, and for which she won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.  Billie Eilish’s musical career includes 10 Grammy Awards and two Academy Awards for Best Original Song: one for “No Time to Die” from the James Bond movie of the same name and another for “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie.

The Bell Jar is set to be released by Focus Features, with StudioCanal and Plan B Entertainment handling the production. Joy Gorman Wettels, known for producing the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, is set to produce the film. Other details about the film, such as the rest of the cast or a possible release date, aren’t currently known.

Until then, audiences can see Billie Eilish in her upcoming concert film, Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour, a theatrical 3D production in collaboration with James Cameron.
