True crime and blue blood will take over the screens in the upcoming film Gilded Rage. Based on a series of articles written by investigative reporter Benjamin Wallace for Vanity Fair, the drama will center on the death of banker Thomas Gilbert Sr. and the mystery surrounding his death. After suicide was ruled out as a possibility, an investigation lead to the belief that Gilbert’s son, Thomas Gilbert Jr., committed the murder. Thomas Gilbert Jr. will be played by Bill Skarsgard. Charlie Mcdowell (The One I Love) will be directing and Jake Gyllenhaal alongside Riva Marker will lead the producing side.
Skarsgard rose to fame in his role as Pennywise the Clown in Stephen King’s novel-turned-film It. The film outperformed other competing debuts during the beginning of its run. He will star in the sequel to the King horror franchise which will premiere later this year. Skarsgard will also be a part of director Edson Oda’s sci-fi film Nine Days. He has finished working on The Devil All the Time, which was also produced by Gyllenhaal and features Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan, Robert Pattinson, and Mia Wasikowska.
