Row K Entertainment released the first trailer for their true crime thriller, Dead Man’s Wire. The film has a star-studded lineup, with Bill Skarsgård portraying Tony Kiritsis. The film follows him as he enters the office of the Meridian Mortgage Company President, Richard ‘Dick’ Hall, portrayed by Dacre Montgomery, and takes him hostage with a sawed-off shotgun.
The cast also includes other huge stars such as Colman Domingo as Fred Temple, Al Pacino as M.L. Hall, Cary Elwes as Michael Grable, and Myha’la as Linda Page. Gus Van Sant directed the film from a script written by Austin Kolodney. Van Sant is best known for Promised Land, starring Matt Damon, and The Sea of Trees, starring Matthew McConaughey and Naomi Watts.
Kolodney told Collider he first heard the story of Tony Kiritsis on a podcast and immediately questioned why it hadn’t been made into a movie. He also said Van Sant was his only choice to direct the film, citing his ability to work smoothly in any genre.
