Benedict Cumberbatch Gets Down And Dirty For ‘Little Favour’ Trailer

Benedict Cumberbatch in his indie production ‘Little Favour’

The Sherlock, Star Trek Into Darkness, Fifth Estate and 12 Years A Slave star Benedict Cumberbatch rolls out the trailer for his first indie short, the cloak and dagger espionage thriller Little Favour. At twenty-two minutes long, the film was crowd sourced in May with Indigogo, raising three times the required amount (allowing for some extra scenes), in just 12 hours. Screen Rant president and founder Vic Holtreman gets an executive producer credit for his contribution.

The short film was written and directed by first timer Patrick Victor Monroe. It’s produced by Cumberbatch and long time friends Adam Ackland, Ben Dillon and Adam Selves, under the Cumberbatch production studio SunnyMarch, formed in 2012.

Little Favour is just that, a request to a friend of years past. Cumberbatch plays Wallace, a retired  British soldier coping well with his PTSD ten years after serving in Iraq. He is finally ready to start a serious relationship and move forward with his life when he is contacted by Jones, an American he had befriended during their joint war mission.  Jones contacts him and asks for a little favor.  Wallace can’t refuse, as he owes Jones for saving his life.
