Once again, former President Barack Obama has kept his tradition of announcing to his social media followers his favorite movies from 2022. Surprisingly, one of the movies that caught on with audiences but not the former President was Avatar: The Way of Water.
Many say that Avatar: The Way of Water is best seen on the big screen, but theaters have been known to be packed since the film’s release and have proven to be a safety concern for the former president. That may be why the movie didn’t make the list.
Another high-quality blockbuster not seen on the list was Wakanda Forever, even when the original Black Panther made the 2018 list. One film that made the President’s list was Paramount’s Top Gun: Maverick.
Prestige titles that made the former President famous 2022 list include Steven Spielberg’s Fabelmans, Chinonye Chukwu’s Till, and Todd Field’s Tar. Not on the list is the release of Antione Fuqua’s Emancipation.
