Deadline reports that Paramount Pictures has added three stars to Damien Chazelle’s 1920s Hollywood pic, Babylon. Chloe Fineman (Saturday Night Live), Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm), and Troy Metcalf (The Middle) have joined a well-rounded cast, which already includes Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt, Diego Calva, Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li, Katherine Waterston, Max Minghella, Lukas Haas, Flea, Rory Scovel, Samara Weaving, Eric Roberts, P.J. Byrne, Damon Gupton, Olivia Wilde, Spike Jonze, Phoebe Tonkin, Tobey Maguire, and Jean Smart.
Oscar-winning director Chazelle also penned the script. Babylon is currently shooting in Santa Clarita, CA, and is due for theaters on December 24, 2022, and will expand nationwide on January 6, 2023.
Fineman has been featured on Saturday Night Live since September 2019, known for her impersonations of Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore, Brittney Spears, Timothée Chalamet, Carole Baskin, and many other famous faces. She will also be starring in Warner Bros.’ HBO Max Father of the Bride and has starred in TBS’/Max Original’s Search Party and Hulu’s High Fidelity.
Carlin, a nine-time Emmy nominee, plays Murray Goldberg on ABC’s The Goldbergs. The show will be returning next month for its ninth season. He is also the executive producer and co-star of the Emmy-winning Curb Your Enthusiasm, which is renewing for its 11th season. His features include Toy Story 3 & 4, Cars 2, WALL-E, Safety Not Guaranteed and The Bounty Hunter. His directing credits belong to Handsome, Dealin’ With Idiots, and I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With.
Metcalf played the character Jim on ABC’s The Middle and starred in two seasons of Comedy Central’s Strangers with Candy. His other TV credits include Good Girls, For All Mankind, Superstore, and Baskets.
